Malinalco and Chalma

Ken joked about Malinalco being closed on Mondays... unfortunately he was right. But we still managed to visit Chalma where you can still buy forgiveness and buy a "oath" or promise for $10.00 pesos.

BPMS150, April 21-22 2007

Day 1. Saturday 21st
6:30 a.m.
We were at Tully Stadium. Ken and Josh had a good breakfast at 5:30 and they were putting air into the tires and putting their helmets and stuff on. They were less than 15 minutes away from starting the ride. (p.s. It was still dark, the Sun was starting to get out and we had been up since 5:00 a.m. Later on I learned that was not early...keep reading)

10:40 a.m.
Ken was having lunch 50 miles away from Lagrange, TX (he had already ridden 50 miles)

3:20 p.m Welcome to Lagrange, TX!!!!!!!!!
First stage was over, 100 miles conquered and a nice meal to celebrate. (Ken is on the left, I almost missed him!)
You can also see him resting in his comfortable suite...

Day 2. Sunday 22nd
Music started playing at 4:30 a.m. Riders were picking up their bikes at 5:00 a.m. My riders didn't get out until 7... I was not wearing my watch so, I am not sure.
Around 11 o'clock they had lunch.

The Finish Line
2:57 p.m. Ken and Josh crossed the Finish Line!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Here is a close up, I was waiting for them just across the finish line. They were very happy and I was very proud of my husband!!!! I can't explain the satisfaction and excitement of being part of this.

Happy New Year!!!!!

It is our first new year. I was sad that this year ended because it was filled with joy and excitment and new things; weddings, and weddings, and weddings, and weddings, and more weddings.
The downside was all the waiting and not knowing when things were going to happen, it was a stressful and sometimes annoying year.
Now it is over and I am happy to say I am looking forward to this new year with Ken. As long as I don't burn anything else with the iron, I think we're going to be ok.
Here are some pictures of Dulce, Jaime and Beto's visti to Houston and New Year's Eve with Kevin.
